Shower trays that develop cracks will allow water to cause damage to the underside of the flooring.  They are not always easy to spot.  The pictures below show how these cracks can expand.

The cracks are repaired using Fibre-glass compound.  This gives added strength to any weak areas.  A line is then masked around the base of the tray as shown below

The interior of the motor home, Yacht or property and surrounding areas are masked with protective plastic as we spray the protective coating to achieve a professional even finish

Once all areas have been protected we apply the Fibre-glass resin.   When the Resin has set we sand the Fibre-glass to a smooth finish.

This gives more strength than the original design which has failed.

A Primer is then applied to the repaired area and the surrounding tray. The plug hole is masked with tape to be removed after spraying

The Primer melts into the plastic allowing the protective layer to bond correctly to the base when applied with a spray gun.  This is why most paints do not stick to the shiny plastic surface of the Base.  Paint is porous and allows moisture through over time and can cause it to come unstuck.  The specialist coating applied in this case is 100% waterproof and is not brittle like paint.

The specialised coating is Sprayed over the primer leaving a professional even finish with no brush marks or signs of any original damage.  If you zoom in on the picture you will notice a slightly rippled finish as this helps to provide a better non slip surface to stand on

The plug hole and all other masking are removed to reveal a professional finish with a product that is guaranteed for 10 Years

The coating will need 48 hours to dry and set correctly before use.

The new layer is very strong and will add 10 years life to the Shower
